Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat is hosting its annual fundraising day at the Lifeboat Station and throughout town. 

Taking place during Sidmouth Regatta on Saturday August 24, you will be able to watch the lifeboat launch and recover and see the crew training at sea, Meet the crew and the support team. There will be activities for kids… and big kids, a surprise from our fundraising mannequin, Sid, view and learn more about our fleet of boats and launch vehicles, try on kit and learn about how to stay safe at sea and along the coast and find out what goes in to running an independent lifeboat charity.

Sidmouth Lifeboat is a fully self-funded independent lifeboat charity in East Devon, covering an area of approximately 150 square miles of sea between Axmouth and Budleigh Salterton. The volunteer crew are on service 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

A spokesman said: "We would love to meet you on Saturday – come and support your local Lifeboat."
