Police across East Devon are enjoying a busy summer with plenty of community events and engagement with residents and visitors this summer.

On Saturday August 17 between 2pm and 4pm officers from the Sidmouth Neighbourhood Team will be hosting a Crime Prevention Session at Newton Poppleford Village Hall in Station Rd and everyone is invited.

PC Tom Driver, from the Sidmouth Neighbourhood Police Team, said: “This is a great opportunity to meet your local officers, get valuable crime prevention tips and discuss any concerns you may have. We hope to see you there, let's work together to make your neighbourhood a safer place.”

Officers in Sidmouth and other parts of East Devon have been out and about already, attending the busy 70th anniversary week-long Sidmouth folk festival which finished on Friday August 9, the Honiton Show on August 1, the Axe Vale Show and Seaton’s Summer Celebration in June.

Members of the Sidmouth Neighbourhood Police Team will also be in the town chatting to visitors at the Sidmouth Regatta later this month and keeping everyone safe on the busy August Bank Holiday weekend.
