A woman has brought back a weight loss plan to Ottery after a 20-year break.

Lorna Brice-Nye has retrained as a consultant for the 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan.

Ms Brice-Nye first started her weight loss journey with her husband Richard 20 years ago, with the help of Cambridge Weight Plan, and together they lost 14 stone.

They became Cambridge counsellors and built a business in the Midlands.

However, after moving back to Ottery St Mary, their custom dwindled and they focused on caring for their autistic daughter.

In July, Ms Brice-Nye decided to look at the newly rebranded 1:1 Diet.

She said that she couldn't believe the choice with all the new products and flavours.

Now, six weeks in, she has lost 1.5 stone and Richard has lost 2 stone.

She said: "The business is growing and we have so many options now including Direct to Dieter when I can consult with customers virtually and they can order direct from HQ.

"Each customer has their own customised app complete with their weight loss journey and now the NHS have produced their own 'Soup and Shake Diet' using research carried out by Cambridge Weight Plan."

The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan can be traced back to the 1960s when biochemist Dr Alan Howard started to research the perfect diet.

As a result, the Cambridge Diet was launched in 1984.
