An organ recital by a musician who grew up in Ottery will take place at the Parish Church on Saturday, August 24.
Greg Susevee moved to Devon from London aged six and began piano lessons almost immediately. He later attended Colyton Grammar where he developed an interest in the organ and took lessons with Peter Parshall. He went on to complete Grades 4 to 8, achieving Distinctions in all of them.
He studied at the University of Chichester where he graduated with a First Class Honours in Music Performance. He studied organ with Tim Ravalde, sub-organist at Chichester Cathedral.
Whilst at Chichester Greg held the position of Organ and Choral scholar at Arundel Cathedral, gaining experience in solo organ performance, choral singing and accompaniment. He also sang for and accompanied the University Chamber Choir for regular concerts and evensongs, including the choir’s tour to Chartres in 2022.
After leaving Chichester Greg completed his PGCE with Plymouth University and is currently the music teacher at St James School in Exeter. He also plays for Sunday Services at Ottery St Mary Parish church.
The recital on August 24 will start at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £12 for adults or £5 for children, and are available online here or on the door.
