The A3052 has been closed in both directions near Aylesbeare after a serious accident.
Heavy traffic is reported in the area.
The road is closed between the Hidden Oak Equine and Country Cafe and Nine Oaks junction.
The accident involved just one vehicle and was reported to police at 3.25 this afternoon (Monday, July 29).
Police say the ambulance service was also called to the scene, but no details have been given of injuries at this stage.
