The Sidmouth streets with the highest house prices have been revealed by a property company – along with the cheapest streets to buy a home.
Professional fast sales company Property Solvers has tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2019.
The homes that sold for the highest prices in Sidmouth were in Redwood Road with an average price of £1,168, 333, followed by Boughmore Road (average £1,128,333) and Bickwell Valley (average £1,051,785).
The cheapest homes were in Temple Gardens (£95,428), Homemeadows House, Brewery Lane (£99,085) and Chambers Close (£112,883).
The average house price in Sidmouth is £419,722 based on HM Land Registry data.
The average property price increased by £128,158 (34.03 per cent) over the last five years and increased by £25,621 (5.35 per cent) over the last 12 months.
Over the last year, there were 208 residential property sales – 38 fewer than the previous year. The majority of house sales (58) were in the £220,000 - £352,000 range. Then came properties in the £352,000 - £484,000 range, where 47 were sold within this price bracket.
Excluding fall-throughs, properties are taking an average of 93 days to sell (from being listed to completion) and the average difference between asking and sold prices is -£9,547 (-2 per cent).
In June 2024, there were 45 new estate agency instructions, 42 agreed home sales and 24 property price reductions.
