The 10th Ottery Food Fest is just a few weeks away, taking place on Saturday, September 14 in the field next to the Otter Garden Centre, from 10am until 6pm.
It's a free, not-for-profit event aimed at showing off the best local food and drink, while offering a variety of entertainment.
The festival was first held in 2013 and was a relatively small event, but over the years it spread out to various locations around the town.
In 2021 it was held at its present site for the first time, and this proved a great success. Last year's festival had to be cancelled because of a lack of funding, but this year it's returning with all the entertainment and attractions that have proved popular in past years.
There will be a wide choice of hot food stalls at the event, along with a food and drink market selling produce to take home or have as a picnic.
There will be cookery demonstrations in the new Taste East Devon Chefs' marquee with some old favourites and some exciting new chefs on the bill. Check the chalk boards outside the marquee to see who is making an appearance.
The Ottery Avenue gives local charities, voluntary groups and community organisations the chance to show what they do and meet the public.
The Wellbeing Tent offers a serene space, away from the crowds, to take time out and pamper yourself. There will be demos, taster classes, talks and therapies.
Battle of the Bands winners will be providing the musical entertainment in the afternoon with an array of young talent from Devon.
The Kids' Area has been expanded, with a lot more going on to entertain younger visitors.
Thanks to a grant from Ottery St Mary Town Council, a free shuttle bus will be running between the town centre (outside the Silver Otter) and the festival site.
The organisers would also like to thank Otter Garden Centres for being the headline sponsor and providing the site for the event.
