Year 11 students at The King's School in Ottery St Mary were dressed for success when they stepped out for their Prom at Woodbury Park on Wednesday, July 3.
The students arrived in a range of vehicles, dressed in smart suits and beautiful prom dresses, for an evening meal and disco.
It was a celebration of the end of exams - and also of a difficult period when their education was severely disrupted by the Covid pandemic.
Mr Gammon, headteacher, said: ‘The Prom was a very special occasion enjoyed by all the students and staff in attendance.
"I am very proud of these students. They have worked hard and shown resilience during what has been a challenging five years.
"As a cohort, they have made a significant contribution to the life of the school and they reflect very strongly the school’s ‘Achievement for All’ ethos which makes our school community so special.
"I am sure that this group will achieve a tremendous set of examination results and it has been a privilege to see them achieve so much personally over the time they have been at the school. We are delighted that we are welcoming many of them back into our outstanding 6th form in September."
The event was organised by students with the support of the Head of Kennaway House, Mr Coult.
