Sidford Tennis club are once again celebrating Wimbledon Men’s Final Day with a special club event which takes place on Sunday 14th July. Chris Long, committee member said: “We are a very social club and like to make an occasion of anything related to tennis. This year we are putting on a club mixed doubles tournament for members in the morning with the final being played later in the day. Our in-house band The Three Aces will be performing live music in the afternoon with food and drink being available from the BBQ and Bar. We are fortunate to have access to a big screen to watch the Men’s Final following the entertainment and during the screening and in true Wimbledon style, there will be strawberries and cream and cake to enjoy. Once play closes there will be a raffle with fantastic prizes.
This year the club would like to invite non-members from the public to share the day with us which starts at 9:30am and as well as enjoying all of the above, maybe try their hand at some tennis before the main event. Tickets are £8 per person and can be reserved in advance from nickfish16@hotmail.com with on-the day payment also available on the day.
