A drop-in event is taking place in Sidmouth for anyone wanting to know about possible new housing and employment sites in the area.
East Devon District Council is currently preparing a new Local Plan which could see 210 new houses and additional employment land allocated in Sidmouth, Sidford and Sidbury. This is to meet Government-imposed targets for the district.
Sidmouth Town Council is following the proposals very closely and is holding a drop-in consultation event on Monday, June 24 between 2pm and 5pm in the Leigh Browne Room in Dissenters of Sidmouth. Town Councillors including the chair of planning, Cllr Kelvin Dent, will be on hand to explain the proposals and to advise people on how to contact East Devon District Council if they have any concerns.
