Axminster Drama Club's latest production features two actors often seen on stage in Sidmouth.
Jill Coley and Julie Salmon are among the cast for the three new plays, written by club members, to be performed in a new theatre space at Axminster Guildhall on Saturday, July 6.
Two of the plays, On Reception and The Inexperienced Ghost, were written by Andrew Coley, who was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for recognition of original writing of new dramatic work at this year's NODA South West Awards.
The third play, Mr Marmite, was written by Simon Hurst, who is also an award winner, with a previous production being recognised at the Exmouth One-Act Play Festival in 2022.
On Reception follows the exploits of two longstanding friends who work on a reception desk as they try to keep the surprise retirement party for the office manager a secret from her. The lead roles are played by Julie Salmon and Jill Coley.
Mr Marmite sees an experienced businessman and councillor being interviewed by a young journalist as they both aim to get their points across.
The Inexperienced Ghost, which is based on a story by H G Wells, tells the tale of a spirit who is trying to work out what he is meant to do in the afterlife.
The plays will be performed upstairs at Axminster Guildhall on Saturday 6 July at 7.30pm.
