A young swimmer raised £65 for Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat by taking part in the first Junior Sidmouth Aquathlon.
The event for youngsters aged six to 14 took place at Sidmouth swimming pool on June 1, and involved a 50-metre swim followed by a 1km run along the seafront and Ham areas.
Zach Stanton took part in the Aquathlon and asked his family to sponsor him. After collecting £65 in sponsorship following the event, he visited the lifeboat station last week to hand over the cash.
Sidmouth Lifeboat has thanked Zach for his generous donation, and has also thanked all its volunteers and supporters.
