Ottery is preparing for a step-back-in-time musical treat this weekend.
A concert featuring medieval music will take place in Ottery's parish church on Saturday, June 15 at 7.30pm.
Musicians Marco Canavo and Steve Tyler, clad in period costumes, will be playing instruments from the Middle Ages, including the hurdy-gurdy.
The hurdy-gurdy is a string instrument that produces sound by a hand-crank-turned, rosined wheel rubbing against the strings.
The concert will help raise funds towards a major project to improve the church lighting and rewire the building.
Rev John Hall will set the scene for the event with a talk about the church's history.
Marco Canavo said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be performing at Ottery St Mary Parish Church.
"Our repertoire will feature medieval music from the 12th to the 14th century, including troubadour songs and compositions dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
"We hope to see you there!"
Tickets are £12 (adult) and £5 (child), and can be purchased online or at the door.
Refreshments will be available to purchase during the interval.
