Citizens Advice East Devon is appealing for more volunteers, as demand for their support increases during the cost of living crisis.
Last year, Citizens Advice helped around 34,000 people in Devon with benefits, debt, housing, relationship breakdowns, discrimination and many others. This number is expected to continue growing over the next few years.
To help them expand and meet the pressing need for free, local, independent advice, they need to recruit more volunteers who want to help their local communities.
Volunteer advisers help people to overcome their problems and applications will be accepted for all sectors of society. They also need people to help with administration, fundraising and other tasks. No previous experience is needed
A spokesman for Citizens Advice said: "As many readers will be aware, the cost of living crisis is having a big impact on communities here in Devon."
"To help us expand and meet the pressing need for free, local, independent advice, we need to recruit more volunteers who want to help their local communities.
"No previous experience is needed and we warmly welcome applications for all sectors of society. We also need people to help with administration, fundraising and other tasks."
