Volunteering opportunities are available at Sidmouth Voluntary Services.

It is a registered charity that has provided services for the elderly and disabled in Sid Valley for over six decades.

Positions needing support include medical car drivers, minibus drivers/helpers, meal delivery drivers and kitchen/dining room helpers.

The charity, situated at the heart of Sidmouth, runs a Lunch Club every weekday.

Here, a three-course freshly prepared lunch is served, which can also be home delivered if bookings are made in advance.

There's also the Sunshine Café at Twyford House, Coburg Road, Sidmouth, open every weekday from 9am to 11.45am for coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.

Sidmouth Voluntary Services provides transport for medical appointments, hosts social trips and offers room hire at their facilities.

Those interested in supporting the charity as volunteers, particularly catering to the needs of the elderly or vulnerable members of the community, can inquire at 01395 515063 or email volunteers@sidmouthvs.org.uk.
