Organisers of the 2024 Salcombe Regis Fair have hailed the event on May 29 as a 'success'.

Families and friends gathered to celebrate the community spirit. The fair, a beloved annual tradition, brought together locals and visitors alike.

Homeowners opened their gardens to allow numerous stalls to be set up.

A spokesman for the fair said: "While the final tally is yet to be announced, the Salcombe Regis Country Fair promises to make a significant impact. Eight deserving charities in the Sid Valley will benefit from the proceeds. These organisations play a vital role in supporting our community and their missions range from healthcare to education.

"Additionally, the fair’s contributions will help maintain our historic church, ensuring that it remains accessible to all. The church stands as a beacon of heritage, a place of solace, and a testament to our shared history.

"The success of the fair would not have been possible without the unwavering support of local businesses. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of them.

Sponsors of the show included: QES Electrical, Sidmouth Scaffolding and Kings Garden Centre.

Thoughts have already turned to the 2025 Salcombe Regis Country Fair, scheduled for Thursday, May 29.
