One rider taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth following a single motorcycle collision on the junction to Sidmouth by The Bowd Inn.
The road was closed from 11am until 12pm as Devon Air Ambulance and one land ambulance was called to transfer the patient.
The rider's injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life threatening.
Officers were called at around 11am on Wednesday (May 8) to Station Road, Sidmouth, following a single vehicle collision.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The incident involved a motorbike. The bike rider was taken to hospital with injuries which are not being treated as life-threatening or changing.
"The road was cleared shortly after 12pm."
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 11:02hrs on Wednesday 08 May to an incident in Sidmouth. We sent one double-crewed land ambulance and one air ambulance to the scene and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Derriford Hospital."
