Amateur drama clubs across East Devon have been nominated for regional awards for productions they’ve staged during 2023.
Every year the National Operatic and Dramatic Association, NODA, presents awards for excellence in a range of categories.
Sidmouth Amateur Dramatic Society, Sidmouth Musical Theatre and TIPPS Juniors have been nominated for regional awards. NODA have also given TIPPS the Achievement Award for District 6 in recognition of their overall success during 2023; they staged the pantomime Sleeping Beauty and hosted a play festival, in addition to the Juniors' performance of Beauty and the Beast.
East Devon as a whole has done well this year with several theatre and musical groups receiving NODA nominations. The winners will be announced on Saturday, May 18.
