Drivers in and around East Devon will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 8pm February 15 to 6am March 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 to junction 28 carriageway closed for carriageway reconstruction/renew works. Diversion via B3181.
• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.
And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A30, from 9am to 1pm on February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 Monkton, traffic lights installed by National Grid for horticultural works.
• A30, from 8pm February 29 to 6am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30/A303 Upottery traffic signals for horticultural works.
• M5, from 8pm February 29 to 6am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 to junction 29 - lane closures for inspection/survey works.
• M5, from 8pm March 4 to 6am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 to junction 29 - lane closures for inspection/survey works.
• M5, from 8pm March 7 to 6am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 to junction 28 - lane closures for inspection/survey works.
• M5, from 8pm March 11 to 6am March 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 to junction 29 carriageway closed for inspections/surveys. Diversion via B3181, B3212 and A3015.
• M5, from 8pm March 11 to 6am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 to junction 28 - lane closures for inspection/survey works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
