'Faith, Hope and Love' is the title of a concert by the Exeter Chamber Choir at Ottery St Mary church on Saturday, March 16.
Tickets are on sale now for the performance, priced at £12 in advance from www.ticketsource.co.uk, or £15 on the door. Admission is free for children and students.
Musical director Andrew Daldorph said: “Following our sell-out Christmas concert in Exeter Cathedral, we're very excited about coming to sing in the 'baby cathedral' of Ottery St. Mary, with its stunning fan vaulting and fabulous acoustic.
"It's nearly six years since we last performed here and our programme will have something for everyone. Pieces include the most well-known of the Bach motets, Jesu Meine Freude, to Samuel Barber's Agnus Dei - his own choral arrangement of the heart-rending Adagio for Strings, that has been used famously in films and public moments of mourning. Musical interludes will be provided by our guest soloist, cellist Hilary Boxer.”
Church volunteers will be selling refreshments to raise money for the church's major lighting, rewiring and audio-visual project, which is due to start next year.
