A NEW weather warning for rain has been issued for the South West as heavy downpours could again cause disruption and flooding tomorrow (Sunday, February 25).
The Met Office said the warning will be in place from 6am to 6pm.
Their latest forecast said: “Rain is expected to move North-East wards across parts of Southwest England on Sunday morning, persisting through much of the day before slowly dying out later in the afternoon.
“15 to 25 mm rainfall is likely quite wide with perhaps up to 40 mm in a few places.
“With saturated ground, this may lead to some flooding and disruption.”
The South West has recently been hit by heavy rain, which caused flooding and road closures.
The Met Office issued a weather warning for rain on Wednesday, February 21, as the downpour continued into the evening and through the night in many areas.
Earlier this week, a tornado warning was also issued (Thursday, February 22).
On the same day, flood warnings and alerts were issued by the Environment Agency.
