A global best-selling author is coming to Sidmouth Library to celebrate the release of her new book.
Lesley Pearse, one of the world's top storytellers, will visit on March 5.
It will follow the debut of her autobiography, The Long and Winding Road, to be published on February 29.
The book has been described as "an extraordinary story of a remarkable woman fighting against the odds to achieve her dreams".
Ms Pearse boasts numerous No. 1 bestsellers, after launching her writing career at 48.
It goes from her debut release Georgia to her soon to be released 32nd endeavour in The Long and Winding Road.
Life before her first publication was marred with hardships including being orphaned at three, separating from her brother, struggling to trust adults as she spent three years in an orphanage, and giving her son up for adoption.
She worked numerous jobs in London, often with East End gangsters and musicians.
Now the star author resides in Torquay, Devon where she loves to spend time walking on the beach with her grandchildren.
Ms Pearse's visit to Sidmouth Library is part of a wider tour that includes literary lunches, library events and festivals.
The Long and Winding Road is priced at £22.00 in hardback.
