Devon and Cornwall Police have arrested a 41-year-old man of no fixed abode following a sexual assault in Blackmore Gardens on Thursday evening.
The man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Officers were on scene for most of Friday, carrying out investigation work at Blackmore Gardens, where the incident is believed to have taken place at around 5.30pm on Thursday February 1.
The victim is being supported by specially trained officers while enquiries continue into the incident.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact police quoting 50240026181.
