This weekend, Liberal Democrat MP Richard Foord will be in Ottery St Mary to launch his campaign for the new Honiton & Sidmouth seat.
The launch will take place on Saturday (January 13) from 10am at The Institute, Yonder Street.
He will be speaking alongside Claire Wright, the former Independent candidate for East Devon. She is backing Mr Foord at the next general election.
Mr Foord will also be joined by Martin Shaw, the former County Councillor for Seaton and Colyton, as well as Liberal Democrat members and wider supporters.
After the rally, the current Tiverton and Honiton MP will be holding a day of campaigning across Ottery St Mary.
Claire Wright tweeted: "If you live in the soon-to-be-formed constituency and you'd like a cuppa while you listen to Richard's plans for action, do pop in and say hi."
His opponent for the Honiton & Sidmouth seat at the next election is Simon Jupp.
In November, the Conservatives opened a new campaign office in Honiton High Street.
The general election must be held no later than January 2025.
Prime minister Rishi Sunak recently told the press his "working assumption" is that the election will be held in august.
There had been speculation that the national vote would be held in the spring after the chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, announced an earlier than usual Budget date.
