It's time to take down your Christmas tree - and this Sunday is the deadline for arranging a collection by Hospiscare.
In exchange for a £15 per tree donation to the charity, volunteers will collect trees from outside people's homes in Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary and transport them to local recycling centres.
The pick-ups will take place on Thursday, January 11, Friday 12 and Saturday 13, and these must be booked via the Hospiscare website by the end of Sunday, January 7.
Last year's collection raised £24,000 for Hospiscare. This year's comes at a time when the charity is facing a £2.5million funding gap and needs local people's support more than ever.
Laura Robertson, Fundraising Projects Manager, said: “After the festivities are over, leave the effort of getting rid of your Christmas tree to us and help raise much-needed funds to continue providing our services.”
