Wildlife artist and photo-journalist Mark Taylor Hutchinson will be exhibiting with his father George S Hutchinson at the East Devon Art Academy, Sidmouth on Friday, December 1 until l Sunday 3.
Sidmouth-based Mark has travelled the globe photographing sharks and other marine animals. He was the previous editor of an international scuba diving magazine. His painting study of a Great White shark was nominated for International Wildlife Artist of the Year by the David Shepherd Foundation in 2018 and will be on show at the exhibition.
Mark's wildlife photos and paintings have featured in the national press and numerous publications. He uses his photography images for reference sources of his paintings to give them a bespoke feel, and he also writes regularly in the Sidmouth Herald as well as giving talks related to his wildlife adventures.
George S Hutchinson is a well respected contemporary coastal scene artist. His vibrant work has been received with high acclaim and he has developed his own unique interpretations of coastal scenes of Devon and the South West. George's work is highly regarded both nationally and internationally.
Other local artists will also be exhibiting, so there will be a range of styles available.
The exhibition is open from 10am until 5pm over the three days, with a later finish of 8pm on the late-night shopping evening, Friday, December 1.
Admission is free.
