The co-founder of Sidmouth School of Art, David Shrigley OBE, has been interviewed for a podcast focusing on art and design.
Every week the On Design podcast features a conversation between host Justyna Green and an 'inspiring' figure from the world of art and design.
David Shrigley, who is based in Branscombe, is interviewed in the November 8 episode. In it he talks about his insights on being an artist and his work with Sidmouth School of Art, including its involvement with the local community.
Louise Cole, fellow co-founder of the School of Art, said: "Sidmouth School of Art is growing as we are engaging with artists locally and from further afield alongside lots of groups in the community.
"We have a particular focus on young people as we know how important inspiring them to develop their art and creative skills is. The evidence is clear that art is a pathway to wellbeing.
"We are very privileged that David, with such a compassionate approach and himself always understated, is a central part of SSA, it’s important for Sidmouth. The podcast gives a brilliant insight into his practice and what matters to him.”
