Sidbury into Drama presents A Spot of Murder, a richly comic murder mystery play, in Sidbury Village Hall from Thursday, October 12 until Saturday 14 at 7.30pm.
The plot: when faded theatrical diva Corrina Marcham senses that she is in great danger, she calls in Detective Inspector Trench to investigate a murder that hasn't been committed yet - her own.
With the seven suspects marooned at the Marchams' isolated house because of a storm, Corrina ensures that Trench's journey has not been wasted by conveniently dying. Has she simply died, committed suicide in a bout of thespian depression, or has she really been murdered?
Who has something to gain? Who has something to hide? Or has she simply upset somebody? Can DI Trench and the eager PC Pendlebury uncover the truth before they have to call in somebody else to do it properly?
Tickets are £10 and can be bought from Drew’s Butchers in Sidbury, or on the door.
