A person was left trapped in their car following a 'slow speed' collision near Sidmouth today (September 5).
Crews from Sidmouth, Exmouth and Heavy Rescue Team from Taunton responded to reports of a casualty trapped under a large vehicle at around 10.30am.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Once our Sidmouth crew arrived on scene, the crew stood down all oncoming vehicles and confirmed that the casualty was medically trapped caused by a slow speed impact.
"Crews worked alongside the ambulance service by moving the vehicle and provided casualty shielding using tarpaulin and salvage sheets, so paramedics could assess casualty."
