Connaught Gardens and Peak Hill Slope in Sidmouth, Manor Gardens in Exmouth, Seaton’s Seafield Gardens and Seaton Wetlands Nature Reserve all received the Green Flag award.
Councillor Geoff Jung, EDDC's portfolio holder for Coast, Countryside and Environment, said: “We all know East Devon has an abundance of green spaces and this shows the variety and high quality of our green spaces which are a welcoming space for our residents and visitors. These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the teams that make them great spaces for everyone to enjoy, particularly our wonderful team of volunteers who assist our Street Scene and Countryside staff each year."
The Green Flag Award® scheme recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
