People who would like to support Sidmouth in Bloom’s work are invited to a public meeting on Saturday, June 10.
The multiple award-winning group are keen to attract new volunteers, along with ‘Friends of Sidmouth in Bloom’ who pay a small annual subscription, help with events, meet the South West In Bloom judges and attend the Sidmouth in Bloom awards.
The meeting, taking place from 10am until noon at the Methodist Church Hall, is a chance to find out all about the group’s horticultural, environmental and community work. There will be information on Sidmouth in Bloom’s plans for the rest of the year and how local residents can help with its planting.
There will also be refreshments and cakes, and a plant sale.
Sidmouth in Bloom have been busy lately, creating a starfish display for the Sea Fest, and planting a special bed to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III.
