Sidmouth in Bloom is appealing for residents to open their gardens to visitors this summer.
The Open Gardens weekend runs from Thursday, June 29 until Monday, July 3, but people can choose their own opening hours and decide whether to provide tea and coffee for visitors. All the money raised goes towards Sidmouth in Bloom’s work in the town’s parks, gardens and green spaces.
The spring Open Gardens was a success, with many visitors saying they had enjoyed seeing such a variety of gardens and getting fresh ideas.
Sidmouth in Bloom is currently preparing for this year’s judging by the Royal Horticultural Society. It has a polytunnel full of plants and has already entered several voluntary/community projects for the It’s Your Neighbourhood awards.
