Nearly 800 bags of hot cross buns and other Easter treats were given away in the traditional Good Friday event in Sidmouth on April 7.
As usual, it took place at the Bedford Lawn car park, with Sidmouth Town Band providing entertainment.
It was a day for receiving as well as giving, as members of the public donated money to help the event keep going in future years. Organisers had raised concerns that the committee had reported a £600 loss last year, and the cost of the Easter goodie bags had risen sharply this year.
A spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone that has generously donated to us to make sure we keep going for another 125 years.”
They also thanked everyone who came along to support the event, Corinne Sycamore for opening the proceedings, the Town Band for their music and Tom Griffiths for the use of the car park.
