Four Sidmouth Primary School staff who completed the hilly 17-mile 4 Trigs Challenge in February have presented a cheque to Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
Mr Spraggon, Mr Horne, Mr Smith, Mrs Trim and Miss Brown’s fiancé took part in the run on Sunday, February 5, with the aim of raising awareness and funding for CRY and Sidmouth Primary PTFA.
The event raised a record £3,000 this year and Sidmouth Primary contributed £250.
The school's runners have thanked all those who sponsored and supported them. They are also grateful to Marion and Robert Hayman who organised the run, and Matt and Paul from Signs Southwest who designed and printed their T-shirts.
CRY is a charity that promotes the screening of young people between 14 and 35 years of age. All the money raised will go to the Jonathan Hayman Memorial Fund, set up with CRY, and then be used for the screening of young people in the local community.
