The village of Newton Poppleford.
Councillor Chris Burhop has been elected to East Devon District Council after a by-election held in Newton Poppleford.
It was held on Thursday, (November 10), and the turn-out was 46 per cent.
560 residents voted for Chris Burhop, (Independent) to represent the Newton Poppleford and Harpford ward.
Two other candidates, Paul Carter (Conservative) and Caleb Early (Labour) stood for the seat, which became vacant following the death of Cllr Val Ranger.
