SADLER Melleny formerly of Yardelands. Passed away peacefully at Fourways Care Home, Sidmouth on 6th May 2024, aged 91 years. Now reunited with her beloved husband, Brian, who will be greatly missed by all her many friends. A funeral service will take place at St Mary & St Peter's Church, Salcombe Regis at 2:00pm on Friday 24th May followed by an interment. No flowers please by request, but any donations, if desired, may be made payable to Sidmouth Hospice at Home & PCC of Salcombe Regis Church. c/o Northcott Brothers, 68 Temple Street, Sidmouth, EX10 9BJ 01395 513207.

Melleny was a long-standing friend of our family. Her Mother, Mary, was a close friend of my grandmother, Violet. Both lived in Shoreham- by-Sea. When Mary and Violet passed away the links continued with my own parents, Joy and Arthur Puttock, my sister, Moira, and my husband and I all in contact with Melleny and Brian. We all lived in different parts of the country but I'm pleased to say that through phone calls and occasional visits we were able to maintain the links for many years. We last saw Melleny in September 2023 and spent a happy afternoon with her, reminiscing whilst looking at old photographs. Melleny was a lovely, kind lady and we shall miss her greatly.
