DRUMMOND. The death of Edith Manners [Poppy] Drummond of 26 Furzehill, Sidbury is announced. Born on 29th August 1916 in Filey, she died peacefully in her sleep at Halwill Manor Nursing home on 22nd June 2014. Married to the late Frederick Charles Drummond, she leaves a son, children and grandchildren. During WW11 she was in the WRNS where she met her husband who was a regular in the Royal Navy. They both worked in signals. Cremation will be at the North Devon Crematorium in Barnstaple on 4th July 2014 at 2.20pm.
