Help with problems relating to benefits, housing, consumer rights and many other issues is on offer from Citizens Advice in Ottery St Mary on Tuesday mornings.
An advisor is available between 9.30am and 11.30am at the Town Council offices, subject to volunteer availability.
Anyone struggling with the cost of living can check eligibility for benefits or the possibility of increasing current benefits. Certain benefits can be claimed even if you work, have savings or own a home.
Advice is available on work contracts, sick pay, redundancy, maternity or paternity leave, grievances with an employer, starting a pension or claiming an existing one.
For the consumer Citizens Advice are experienced in dealing with claims about faulty goods and services, and problems with service providers such as utilities and ISPs.
Citizens Advice services are free, confidential and impartial, meaning the advice is objective and in your best interests. They can also signpost you to other sources of help such as legal aid or social services.
